Jenny van Sommers is an award-winning still life photographer who grew up in Australia but is now based in London. Her work often brings to life mundane objects, and she is known for her rich ideas that add “tongue-in-cheek” humor to the work.

She was awarded the prestigious Golden Lion at Cannes for her work with Stella Artois. In this video, we see the four different jellies, each with unique personality, move to the music. It’s quite light and fun, and after a while becomes mesmerizing to watch.

The photographer’s studio is in the same street as Bompas & Parr — a London shop that creates fine English jellies. So the inspiration for the film was right on her doorstep. The music used for the film is from London trio Social Skills.

“Jellies all have distinct personalities and everybody relates to a different one.”

Jenny van Sommers in an interview with NOWNESS:

I relate to the white one in the top right corner. It’s like that little jelly is enjoying himself so much, he begins to break free.

Which fine English jelly do you relate to?
