Some Traditional Pumpkin Recipes for Autumn

Pumpkins are a treasure trove of health and nutrition. Although pumpkins are sweet to eat, they are a low-sugar food. You don’t have to worry about putting on weight if you eat it. Pumpkins are packed with dietary fiber and can help with constipation. People who often eat irregularly can also eat pumpkin as a snack to avoid feeling hungry. Pumpkins also contain pectin and when you eat pumpkins, your mouth gets a little sticky. That is the pectin in pumpkins, which can prevent the body from absorbing too much fat.

Here are some recipes to take full advantage of the natural goodness of the simple pumpkin.

Pumpkin rice

The easiest way is to cut the pumpkin into pieces and steam it in a pot. Also, you can make it into pumpkin rice. Wash the rice, add an appropriate amount of water, then put the pumpkin cubes on the top layer of the pot and cook.

Pumpkin soy milk and soup

The method of making pumpkin soy milk is straightforward. Prepare 150 grams of pumpkin and 600 ml of soy milk, remove the seeds of the pumpkin, cut it into pieces, steam it in a pot, heat the soy milk, and use a blender to make the soy milk and steamed pumpkin into pumpkin soy milk.  

The ingredients for pumpkin soup include 500 grams of pumpkin, 200 ml of milk, 100 ml of water, a little salt, and a little pepper. Put the ingredients together in a pot and steam them together, add water to make a purée. Put pumpkin purée and milk in an empty pot, cook on low heat for 10 minutes, turn off the heat. 

Pumpkin latte

Next time, before you leave the house, you may make a pumpkin latte at home. Pumpkin latte ingredients include 10 grams of pumpkin purée, 180 ml of fresh milk, a tablespoon of maple syrup, 50 ml of black coffee, and cinnamon powder. If it is for children, do not add the coffee. Pour the purée, fresh milk, and coffee into a blender and blend for about 20-30 seconds. Finally, pour in a little maple syrup to improve the flavor, and add a pinch of cinnamon powder to add aroma.

Pumpkin millet

Prepare 200 grams of pumpkin and 50 grams of millet, cut the pumpkin into pieces, wash the millet, put water in a pot, and then add the millet and pumpkin until it boils. Turn the heat to low and cook for 30 minutes. Please pay attention to it and stir it from time to time to avoid it sticking to the bottom of the pot.
