Fans in China recently voted the following as the 10 most touching manga and anime movies from a total of 40 Japanese animation films.

The poll was started by the popular manga website Pudding, and 1.5 million netizens participated over eight days. They also chose some “tear quotes” from each movie.

The results were posted on Weibo, and they received over 40,000 shares and more than 10,000 likes in one day.

You probably have some favorite manga films in mind — are they on this list? Let’s check it out.

No. 1: ‘Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day’ (2011)

Some Weibo users disagreed with Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day being the most touching manga movie, and instead listed other animations like Grave of the Fireflies, which is also one of my favorites.
