Garlic: 8 Natural Remedies

Garlic is one of the most popular condiments in making delicious dishes, and it is a good source of nutrients. But did you know that it is also an excellent natural treatment for ailments?

Try these 8 natural remedies for garlic

1. Relieve headaches

Many people suffer from headaches due to long working hours and stress. Garlic contains ingredients that can stimulate the nerves in the ears and relieve headaches.

Instructions: Wash and peel the garlic, slice it and place it on the auricle (outer part of the ear) like earphones for 10 minutes. This should effectively reduce your headache.

2. Alleviate ear pain

Inflammation inside the ears is painful. Garlic has antiseptic and anti-inflammatory effects, and can treat ear pain.

Instructions: The same way you prepare garlic to relieve headaches. Plugging the ears with garlic can quickly ease the discomfort caused by ear inflammation.

3. Reduce fever

The fever from a cold is generally caused by a bacterial infection. Garlic is a natural anti-fever medicine that can reduce inflammation and kill bacteria.

Instructions: Mash the garlic into a paste, add some vinegar or apple cider vinegar, and mix it evenly. Apply the paste to your ears and thighs. The symptoms of a cold and fever should lessen after half an hour.

4. Treat a cough

Many conditions can cause coughing, and a viral infection is one of them. Garlic contains allicin, which has a strong antiviral effect.

Instructions: Peel, wash, and cut the garlic into pieces that can fit in the ear. Wait for half an hour before taking it out. This should relieve your cough.

Note: Place the garlic on the surface area of the auricle, the part of the ear on the outside of the head.

5. Relieve toothache

Instructions: Peel off the skin and cut off both ends. Mash the garlic into a paste and stuff it into the cavity. It should take effect in just a few minutes!

You can chew on some peanuts or drink a glass of milk to get rid of the acidic taste.

6. Treat acne

The active ingredients in garlic can be antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and clean the skin. It works well on acne-prone skin.

Instructions: Cut the garlic clove in half, rub it gently on the acne, and you will see the results in a few days.

7. Prevent frostbite

Instructions: Use a sterilized gauze pad to keep the garlic on the skin. Change it every other day for a week to prevent frostbite.

8. Thicken eyebrows

Some people have sparse eyebrows.

Tips for this:  Cut two slices of fresh garlic and use them to rub the eyebrows. Doing that twice a day and before going to bed will yield the best results.

Your eyebrows will grow thicker and darker after a period of time.
