Yilan Longtan Lake is a famous tourist attraction located on the calm and quiet outskirts of Jiaoxi Town in northern Taiwan’s Yilan County. It was one of the “Lanyang Twelve Scenic Wonders” due to its fascinating scenery. Besides its natural beauty, one of the most commendable features of the lake is the Distoechodon Tumirostris Eco Park (鯝魚生態園區) on the lakefront, in which there are some fish ladders that help Distoechodon tumirostris (鯝魚) in the lake return upstream to spawn.
