The Majestic Twin Candlestick Islets in Taiwan

Located just outside of Jinshan Cape on Taiwan’s north coast are the Twin Candlestick Islets. Standing about 197 feet (60 meters) above sea level, the twin islets were originally part of Jinshan Cape, but separated due to plate tectonic processes and coastal erosion. Since the islets bear a resemblance to two candlesticks, they were called the Twin Candlestick Islets. They are also called the Husband and Wife Rocks by local people because they look like a cuddling couple.
